Format of our Classes
We’ve all been to classes that just don’t hold our attention. Classroom instruction can be very boring. Our classes are uniquely different.
As Hippo Internet Marketing president and lead trainer, Corey Creed says:
“PowerPoint gives me a headache! No one should have to suffer through that.”
The classes we teach are full of interaction and doing what you learn. We encourage everyone to bring their own laptop to class. Below are the various formats we use throughout all our classes.
Introductions
You start by meeting the instructor and your fellow students. Our classes are not just powerful learning sessions. They provide incredible networking opportunities. The connections you make will benefit you during class and often long after.
Overview
Every day starts with the “big picture” and a review of the previous day, if applicable.
Training
You come to our classes to learn. But it does not have to be boring. When we teach new concepts, we show real examples on the computer. We use the whiteboard and provide handouts that require you to be involved and engaged. The notes you take will serve as resources for you when you return.
Practice
Once you learn something, we give you time to try it on your own laptop. Our classroom instructor and assistants will be there to answer questions.
Collaboration
More often than practice sessions, we prefer collaboration. You’ll work with other students to brainstorm, identify, or research specific aspects of marketing your or your fellow student’s website.
Review
After practice or collaboration, we review what was accomplished and experienced. Your instructor will elaborate, give further details, or even redirect your efforts to benefit you the most.
Site Reviews
Every day of training ends a little early so that the instructor has time to review your site, if you choose. Some students may choose to leave early (to beat Charlotte traffic). But most stay to benefit from this valuable feedback from the instructor and your fellow students.
Overall, our classes at Hippo Internet Marketing are uniquely different from other training. We don’t just provide boring lectures and lessons. We offer an interactive experience that results in lasting benefits.
